Dr. Veena Bhat
Alpharetta Family Dentist
General and cosmetic dentist Dr. Veena Bhat Venkataraman has been practicing dentistry since 1999. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, she received her Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis, before earning her DDS degree from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago.
Following graduation, Dr. Bhat continued her training through the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of California. In 2000, she moved to the Alpharetta-Roswell area, where she has since established both her career and strong ties to the community.

Dr. Bhat has served as a dental faculty member with the Georgia Perimeter Dental Hygiene Program and practiced as an associate dentist before establishing herself at North Fulton Smiles in Alpharetta in 2009.
Dr. Bhat stays actively involved in continuing education, leadership training, and workshops and remains active in both local and national dental communities. She is a CEREC® digital dentist and continues to pursue advanced education as an important part of her approach to patient care. She also provides leadership mentoring for female dentist entrepreneurs, sharing her experience with other women building careers and practices in dentistry.
One of Dr. Bhat’s strengths is her ability to customize care around each patient’s individual needs and personal goals. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she works closely with her patients to determine the treatment options that best fit what they hope to achieve for their health and smile.
Dr. Bhat has called the Alpharetta, Roswell, and Milton area home for more than two decades. She has enjoyed raising her family here and staying involved in the local community. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Bhat enjoys traveling, connecting with friends and family, and watching her young adult daughters grow. She also has a strong appreciation for theater and the arts and supports philanthropic efforts, particularly causes focused on children’s education.
Her patients appreciate her friendly and caring nature, attention to detail, and focus on quality. She is proud to work alongside a team of dental professionals who share the same patient-focused approach. Dr. Bhat, her team, and her patients celebrated the opening of North Fulton Smiles’ dental office at the Silos at North Farm Marketplace in July 2014.
